The art and craft of writing can be learned in many ways, but is often a lonely pursuit. Ho …

At meetings, we will look at pieces of literary prose fiction (novels and short stories) that have gained critical acclaim for their authors’ skill at creating compelling narrators, structuring plots, and fleshing out engaging characters. We will discuss craft (narrative voice, dialog …

This group will, hopefully, bring together people who are interested in the types of questions and discussions that arise naturally from the group's title. Where you can challenge the pool table by adding your quarters to the queue? Where there is always a handful of regulars sitting at the bar having a cold draft even if it is 8:00 a.m.? It's dark. Not too big. Plenty of domestic beer on tap or in a bottle. Maybe a dart board or even a table shuffleboard! Sure the floors are a little stick …
